You may visit as many of these theme parks as you prefer each day, for as many days as your ticket specifies. This ticket expires 14 days after the first day of use.

No Expiration – Unused admissions on a ticket have no expiration date. All tickets expire 14 days after first use except with this exclusive ticket.

Features

Park Hopper – This option added to your ticket can be used at all theme parks – Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom – on the same day and also includes use of the Disney transportation system. It is available for either two, three, four, five, six, seven or 10 days.

The Water Park Fun & More option means you get 3 extra admissions to:

Disney’s Wide World of Sports® Complex
Disney Quest® Indoor Interactive Theme Park
Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course (9 Hole)

These 3 day Water Park Fun & More passes include 3 extra admissions to the above parks. The extra admissions do not have to be used on the same days that you visit the 4 major Disney parks. Therefore, this ticket can be used on a total of 6 different days.

This ticket expires 14 days from its first day of use.

Extra admissions (Downtown Disney, Pleasure Island, etc.) DO NOT have to be used on the same days the ticket is used to enter the 4 major Disney theme parks. However, they must be used within the 14 day expiration period.

Save Money On Your Walt Disney World Trip

My family visit Walt Disney World several times a year. The biggest question we are often asked is “How Do You Afford It”. There is no simple answer to this question – We save money and make money for our Disney trips in many different ways. If you really want something badly, you’ll get it. Read on.

Tip 1 – We always buy annual passports. An annual passport enables you to visit all four Walt Disney World theme parks as many times as you want in a given year. So, if your first visit with the pass begins on 14th October, you could visit the following year on 1st October, and your park admissions the second year would already have been paid for.

Tip 2 – We get a Disney Dining experience card. Do a google search on Disney Dining Experience and it will take you to the relevant page. This card costs around $50, but it will give you a 20% discount for thirteen months on food and alcoholic drinks in most Walt Disney World restaurants. On two five day trips the savings can be enormous. Note – you need to be an Annual Passholder or Florida Resident to purchase this card.

Tip 3 – Room discounts. If you search hard enough – you should be able to get discounts at both onsite and offsite hotels. Annual passholder used to offer guests deep discounts. You could simply call Disney reservations and ask for annual passholder rates for your stay. These discounts are still offered, but not as much as they used to be. Disney now has an online discount system for passholders called the Best Rate Program. Discounts are not as deep, and there are strict terms and conditions but you can still get a good discount in comparison to rack rate.

Tip 4 – renting points from a Disney Vacation Club member. For those of you who don’t know, Disney Vacation Club is Disney’s version of a timeshare, with luxurious onsite studio’s and villas with up to three bedrooms. If you do a google search for “rent disney vacation club points”, you will find plenty of willing renters, and could bag yourself a luxurious rental for the price of a cheap offsite hotel. Note – renting from a member works out cheaper if you avoid staying on a Friday or Saturday night.

Tip 5 – making extra money. For a long time, my family were obsessed with saving cash on our WDW trips. Then we switched to doing things to actually make extra cash. We now make all the extra money we need to pay for all our Walt Disney World trips and more. What is the Real Value Hotel at Disney

If you are planning a family vacation to Walt Disney World how do you decide which hotel to stay at? Any of the three hotels on the monorail are the most convenient, or are they? Depending on your agenda for the vacation your best bet might be to pick one of the hotels not on the monorail. This article will discuss the pros and cons of each, so if you are planning a trip and have never been there before you can make a more informed decision.

The three hotels on the monorail at Disney World in Orlando are the Contemporary, the Polynesian, and the Grand Floridian. They also happen to be three of the more highly priced hotels that Disney offers. The Grand Floridian is the most expensive of all Disney hotels. There are some other high end hotels offered by Disney that are pricey as well but the monorail usually commands premium rates. The reason for this is the convenience of staying on the monorail.

I have personally stayed at the Grand Floridian, on my honeymoon. Do not get me wrong, it is a beautiful hotel with exceptional service. That week was the best service I have received anywhere for anything. But, the fact is, unless you are planning to only spend your time at the Magic Kingdom and the Epcot Center, the hotels on the monorail are no more convenient than any of the others.

It is no secret that Disney World is huge. In addition to the two parks mentioned in the previous paragraph, Disney offers MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom, multiple water parks, Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island, and the ESPN Sports Complex. If you plan to visit most of the parks you will need to either drive a car or utilize Disney’s transportation anyway, so it does not really matter where you stay.

Also, if you think about it, you are not spending much time in the hotel because you are at the parks, or by the pool, or out eating someplace. You can save a lot of money on the trip by going with a cheaper hotel.

There are some advantages to staying on the monorail. If you are an older couple on a vacation, not bringing any kids, you may prefer to stay on the monorail. You may be looking for a more relaxing vacation spent by the pool, or on the beach, where you have access to the park as well as the spas and other luxuries that come with the higher end hotels. The Grand Floridian does offer many of these luxury features. They also have a very relaxing lobby where you can sit and listen to piano music being played. But, you also have quick and easy access to the main parks should you want to see the Main Street Parade or fireworks.

All Disney hotels are clean and give good service. You cannot go wrong with any of them. If you are older and have the money, or if you are younger and splurging on a nice vacation then the hotels on the monorail are a nice treat. If you are looking for the best value for your family vacation I feel the moderate or value level hotels are the best option.

Get the Most Out of Your FastPass

Long lines and restless guests in popular queues are a thing of the past at Walt Disney World. At least it is for those who choose to take advantage of Disney’s free service: FastPass.

So what is it?

FastPass debuted in 1999 and was embraced as a brilliant innovation in theme park engineering. This computerized system allows visitors to avoid standing in line for the most popular attractions throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. Many guests did not understand the system at the time and some still do not. As a matter of fact, during the three and a half years I was a cast member at the Disney-MGM Studios, I would often overhear guests remark: “Hey, that’s not fair! Those people pay extra and get to cut ahead of us in line!”

How does it work?

The FastPass attraction reservation system is very simple to use and best of all-it’s free. Go to a participating show or ride, locate the FastPass machine and insert an admission ticket for each person in your party who wishes to enter the attraction. The FastPass machine reserves a return appointment for your party and prints a pass for each ticket with a one-hour window (for example, 10:20-11:20 a.m.). From here, you can feel free to explore the less crowded attractions in your selected park. During that one hour time frame, you can usually squeeze in two (maybe three) smaller attractions instead of waiting in that bloated line. Give yourself at least 15 minutes to be able to make it back in time for your designated FastPass time. When you arrive at the attraction, simply hand the cast member standing in front of the FastPass entrance your passes and you’re in!

Wow, that’s so cool! I think I’ll get one for every ride!

Not so fast. In order for Disney’s FastPass system to work properly, they had to implement restrictions on the amount of FastPasses a guest can hold during a given period of time. Each guest may hold one FastPass for one attraction every two hours or after the one hour window expires
